This drama is adapted from the manga of the same name written by Reiko Shimizu. It is set in the Forensic Ninth Laboratory of the Scientific Police Research Institute, commonly known as "Ninth", and uses special MRI technology to reproduce the memories of the deceased before his death. With a rare appearance, amazing memory and keen insight, Shingo (played by Itagaki Rikio) is the founding member and director of the Ninth. Due to a certain incident, Suzuki Katsuhiro (played by Nakajima Yuto), who was both a friend and colleague, passed away. In front of Shin, a new investigator Aoki Ichika (played by Nakajima Yuto) was assigned to look exactly like him. The two saw the "thoughts" and "secrets" that the deceased had hidden until his death. Although they had guilt and entanglement in their hearts, they still fought to solve difficult cases and became irreplaceable partners.
