On a night of wandering and emptiness, the beautiful but vain and impetuous insurance saleswoman Ishibashi Yoshino (played by Hikari Manshima) was found dead at Misase Ridge in Fukuoka. She had been dating a civil engineering worker, Shimizu Yuichi (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki), through a dating website, but later turned to the arms of college student Masuo Keigo (played by Masaki Okada) in order to climb up the rich. This frivolous behavior directly led to the tragedy of her death. After that, Masuo became the main suspect and was questioned by the police. The distressed Shimizu meets the lonely clothing store clerk Mitsuyo Magome (played by Eri Fukatsu) through the Internet, and the two estranged people who appreciate each other start a desperate escape... This film is adapted from the original novel by Yoshida Shuichi, and won the first place in the 2010 Kinema Junpo Top Ten Films, the Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor awards in the Japanese section; and the 34th Japan Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Music.
