Ava DuVernay teamed up with "Green Arrow" screenwriter Jill Blankenship to develop a new DC comic adaptation "Naomi" for CW. The series tells the story of Naomi, a teenager, on her journey from her small town in the northwest to the multiverse. When a supernatural event deeply affects her hometown, Naomi decides to find out the cause, and her discovery will subvert people's perception of the superheroes around them. The story is based on the comic series of the same name that began in 2019, written by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker, and drawn by Jamal Campbell.
