David Lynch's Twin Peaks is one of the most famous American TV series in the 1990s. It won the 1990 Television Critics Association Award, the 1997 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and Actress, 8 Emmy Awards in 1991, and the 1991 American Broadcasting Association Award for Best TV Series. David Lynch also appeared on the cover of Time magazine. This series is very different from David Lynch's film works. There are many characters but distinct personalities. There are not many branches in the story line but the plot is full of twists and turns. Many people are attracted by the mystery of Lora's death and the detective's weird way of solving the mystery. Although the mystery was not explained in the TV version in the end (although Lynch claimed that he told the audience who the murderer was in the second episode), the dissection of the human desire and the life of the middle class is quite profound. Lynch's loyal fans will not be disappointed. The unique style presented in the whole series, which is entangled with the grotesque beauty and the blurred atmosphere, is the classic nature of David Lynch. Among them, Lora was even praised by Time as the sexiest corpse in the history of television. It is no exaggeration to say that although it only has 30 episodes (2 seasons in total), it has set off a revolution in the North American television industry. Lynch's unique dark, surrealist narrative style and unique way of handling shots and colors have had a strong impact on the stereotyped soap operas of the 1980s. Its success is also inseparable from the original soundtrack composed by Angelo Badalamenti, a composer who has long collaborated with Lynch - it brings you a bleak feeling like autumn mist, while incorporating a poetic sense of loneliness and mystery.
