The story of the Iron Age begins in the spring of 1948. After the liberation of Anshan Iron and Steel, Shang Tielong (played by Chen Baoguo) and Yang Shoushan (played by Feng Yuanzheng) led their respective teams to start a technical competition. Japanese engineer Jiadai (played by Matsumine Lili) became very interested in Shang during work.
