In the dim and cold interrogation room, the scarred private detective Ned Cruz (Antonio Banderas) is being brutally questioned by three Los Angeles police officers including Polly (William Fichtner). He was accused of hitting someone to death. Under the coercion of fists and feet, Ned slowly told his experiences in the past few days. He first told the story of the murder caused by the gay scandal of the popular idol star, which was the beginning of the whole story. Later, on that humid and mysterious night, Ned met Anton Protov (Robert Maillet), a former boxer from Russia with a huge stature and fierce appearance.
