In the early 1980s, several families with different family models lived in the family compound of Hongguang Machinery Factory. Liu Shuxia and Wang Xianping had different personalities but tolerated each other; Dongfang Yushu and Fu Ying had a hard life but enjoyed it; Yang Dashan and Fang Hui lived an enviable and affluent life.
