In 1957, in Paris, the famous fashion designer Christian Dior died suddenly of a heart attack, leaving behind the shaky Dior brand. Dior's apprentice, 21-year-old Yves Saint Laurent (Pierre Niney), was appointed to become Dior's youngest chief fashion designer. His debut show "Trapeze" was a blockbuster, making the world notice his existence, and also leading to his meeting with Pierre Bergé (Guillaume Gallienne).
