Community college "Grindel" ushered in a new semester. The seven-member study group led by Jeff (Joel McHale) took a biology course together, but due to course selection restrictions, one of the group members, Pierce, was excluded. This incident soon caused a split crisis in the group. However, what awaited the seven of them was a bigger crisis: the funding for Grindel College was cut off, and the school fell into poverty. In order to save money, the dean asked Chang, who was suspected of mental illness, to serve as a security guard, planting a dangerous bomb. At the same time, good friends Troy and Abed finally announced that they would live together. The group members came to their new home together, but Jeff inadvertently created "six independent parallel spaces". In the six different spaces, the seven people had completely different destinies. Is this Abed's fantasy, or is it real?
