The film tells the story of a desert land in the early years of the Republic of China. Due to the ravages of a mutant beast disaster, the desert residents were forced to hide in the yellow sand and live like rats all year round. The entire desert, the town has become a scorched earth, and the living cannot see the sky. They are deeply trapped in the fear of "surviving in silence". In order to find hope for survival and protect their homeland, the desert youths face the "Train to Busan"-style beast craze, and in the silent and solemn desert, they start a life-and-death competition with unknown beasts...
