Elsa (Diane Kruger), a French war correspondent, and her colleagues were kidnapped by the Taliban during an interview in Pakistan. The Taliban posted the captured video of Elsa on the Internet and claimed that she would be executed in front of the camera within a specified time, but people all over the world could watch the whole process through the Internet. Before Elsa was executed, a rescue team composed of special forces members was sent by the French military to rescue her. Faced with extremely brutal Taliban desperados, the rescue team rescued Elsa at the first time without fear of danger, but lost contact with the headquarters and had to start a more sinister defense battle.
