In the second half of the 19th century, the development of science and technology continued to promote the progress of industry. In London, the inventive scientist Fogg (Steve Coogan) often conducts crazy experiments on transportation tools. Although he is not recognized by the Royal Academy of Sciences, he is just an amateur and his servants leave him because of the dangerous experiments. Liu Xing (Jackie Chan) from China robbed the Bank of England to retrieve the treasure "Jade Buddha" from his hometown. He attracted the endless pursuit of the British police and the Chinese criminal organization Black Scorpion Group. He had no choice but to use the pseudonym "Lu Lu Tong" to serve as Fogg's servant. In order to replace the old-fashioned dean of the Academy of Sciences, Fogg gambled all his belongings and future and traveled around the world in 80 days. Lu Lu Tong thought that he could use this trip to send the Buddha statue back to his hometown.
