The film mainly tells the story of two girls from different social classes living at the two ends of the Luo River in Luoyang during the Wu Zhou period. They are accidentally involved in an unsolved case. They work together to expose the villain's conspiracy. The two protagonists in the story are Zhao Qingqing, the daughter of the captain of the Jinwu Guard, and Xiao Liar, a girl from the bottom of the city. The two people who originally lived completely different lives formed a temporary partner after encountering a series of bizarre cases in Luoyang City.
