Description:Karen (Meryl Streep) is a vain rich girl. In order to get the title of a baroness, she left her native Denmark and married to Kenya in East Africa. However, the title of baroness did not bring Karen a happy marriage life. Fortunately, in that vast land, Karen can often go out hunting and exploring, and she gradually fell in love with this magical land. During a hunting accident, Karen met the young British aristocrat Dennis (Robert Redford). After the breakdown of her marriage and her husband's departure, Karen independently assumed the task of running the manor. In the process of labor, Karen gradually developed a deep friendship with the servants on the plantation, and her relationship with Dennis seemed to have also developed.

Later, Dennis's accidental death in a plane once again dealt her a heavy blow. After experiencing the hardships of life, Karen finally bid farewell to the land where she had sprinkled her youth and passion... The film won seven awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay at the 58th Academy Awards in 1986.
