Fan Gaoshang (played by Liang Xiaolong) is an antique dealer who attempts to obtain the priceless Avalokitesvara Buddha head. Gu San (played by Lai Xi) is Fan Gaoshang's subordinate and participates in the action of stealing the Buddha head. Gu San's grandmother is seriously ill and needs huge medical expenses, so Gu San privately sells the Buddha head to Sun Mingxian (played by Yuanhua) and runs away with the money, which makes Fan Gaoshang very angry. Later, Gu San met a woman named Lian'er (played by Lu Yuanyuan). The two have similar interests and cherish each other. Lian'er's father, who has been separated for many years, accidentally discovered the Buddha head abroad, bought it, and brought it back to Jinan. The reappearance of the Buddha head in the arena made Fan Gaoshang eager to move. He kidnapped Gu San's grandmother and ordered Gu San to exchange the Buddha head. Gu San, who has reformed himself, is determined not to help the tyrants anymore. He cooperates with the police and finally brings the greedy Fan Gaoshang to justice.
